Who are we?

The American Red Cross Youth Corps are teenagers ranging from ages 13-19, who are committed to strengthening their self confidence & leadership skills, serving the needs of the community, and shaping America through these services.

What are our goals?

We would like to help meet needs in our community and experience the satisfaction that comes from serving others and building our Red Cross Organization. At the same time, we explore career opportunities, gain valuable work experience, and earn community service hours for school, college entrance, and scholarship requirements.

What services do we offer?

We have a number of Service Teams who work independently to fulfill these goals. A few of these include: The "Scrubby Bear" presentation team, who produce and perform a skit about disease control for preschoolers; The BAT (Basic Aid Training) Team, who present a Basic Aid Training class to elementary-age youth; The Disaster Youth Response Team (DYRT), who are trained to help the Red Cross respond to disasters such as floods, hurricanes, and tornadoes; The Historian Team, collect photos at Youth Corps events and maintains scrapbooks; The Newsletter Team, creates and produces the Youth Corps monthly newsletter which is sent out to all Youth Corps members; The Website Team develops and maintains the Youth Corps web pages graphics and content. Contact us for more information!

Who helps lead our group in reaching these goals?
